<HTML>Mend quickly, Tony!!

We used to play a game called \"Murder Ball\" in the Army. Usually two or three soccer balls were in play at one time on the field, and you had to kick, throw, or carry the ball to the other team\'s goal. Play was continuous, with no time outs. Tackling anyone with or without a ball was legal, but not punching or kicking your opponent--although you could get away with kicking him if he was also kicking or picking a ball up off the ground, just saying you were trying to kick the ball but missed. Dog-piles were frequent (5 or 10 guys piling onto a tackled player).

I remember once we had an entire company on the field at one time. There was a broken collar bone, a serious knee injury, and a one case of cracked ribs by the time the game was over. I forget who won.

We usually never played this game more than once a month...

:)
