<HTML>Jchauch - Metox was made by a French firm 'Metox-Grandin & Sadir, according to the brief description in 'The U-boat' by Eberhard Rossler. He goes onto state that it had only a limited success from Aug 1942 and was replaced in Aug 1943 by the Wanze receiver. - John</HTML>
