<HTML>My uncle was on the USS Block Island which sunk the U-202 and the U-1059. There were 8 survivors from the 1059 and from one of those survivors my uncle received a hat that listed all of the names of the crew. My uncle gave my mother this hat before he died and later she gave it to me. On one side of the hat is the names of the crew and on the other is a ink drawing of the U-boat. The names are as follows as they appear:
Gerb Helmut Heini Jacki Hein
Franz'l Herbert Frilzi Heinrich
Seppel Paul Ferdi Peppi
Hansi Serhard Helmut Hans
Karl Heinz Fred Peter
Kurt Erich Scheks Kurt
All of the names look to have been written by the same person. Would like to know if this was the crew from the U-1059. If it is the 1059 I know there were 8 survivors and I would like to know if any are alive and accessable.
