copper label for shipyard

<HTML>It isn\'t a builder\'s plaque, but rather a copper label off an expansion ring from the main conning tower hatch. The number on it apparently corresponds to the shipyard where the U-112 would have been completed had it been.
It is an intriguing find...but doesn\'t prove the XI-B was finished.
I don\'t know whether such a label would have appeared on other boats completed at that same shipyard or not. I don\'t know how general or how specific such a label would be, but I suspect it\'s not conclusive in itself.
Trident will have to recover something much more irrefutable...
