My dad served aboard the M18...he had mentioned one time that the boat had been hit by two torpedos and had gone through the skin and were stuck in the side of the ship....they went back to harbor and when they got there were told to tie up at the far end of the harbor and after EOD looked at it, they pulled the torpedos out. One was sticking in where the magazine was located. I can't remember if he said it was a British or Russian set of torpedos.
