Rather than refuting \"your small story\" item for item, I would like to know more about the source you are quoting, i.e. A. Rosental of Toronto. Do you know if he was a real person? A historian? When was that article published? Did he know how to write in Russian? Or was a Russian translator used? Some of your quoted facts and figures sound as if they come straight out of the Sovjet Propaganda Ministry. If you want to believe that nonsense - be my guest, but please do not regurgitate this garbage undigested in this forum. Aside from the distorsions on the Gustloff and Goya sinkings, I found the tonnage claimed most ludicrous.
You claim to be an academic, why not do a little research before publishing???
