I didnt see the relevant post but I do know that German U-boats and British submarines had slightly different procedures for surfacing. Something like one nation used LP air in the tanks then ran the diesels and the other used HP air until surfaced. I think I have that the right way round but am prepared to stand corrected as I would like to know, again, myself.
