<HTML>It could be the U 602, given that that boat is currently in the missing category and operated in roughly that area, but it\'s far from a given. The last contact report was from a site well to the south of Menorca.

The only other WWII U-boat known lost in that general area is the U 755 sunk at 39.58N, 01.41E with survivors.

The possibility always exists that it was a different boat that was recently discovered. Does the video tape show a Type VII?</HTML>
