Jak Mallmann is hoping to get a copy of the film \\\"U-Boats Westwärts\\\" at the beginning of March. He will then contact Bletchley Park and see what can be arranged with a view to showing the film. Hopefully a few times over a weekend during April.

Ying.. the film is a feature film, not a documentary, with German actors and as Jak said was probably the original \\\"Das Boot\\\"

Fiona.. April showers permitting - perhaps you can make it this time :-)

kpp.. re: German films - one later than the napoleonic era was \\\"Westfront\\\" one of the early German \\\'talkies\\\' about the time of some of the Dr Mabusa films.
