Do you have a date for this loss? A quick check of the maps on this web site shows no WWII U-boats sunk in the Thames Estuary.
As for WWI boats, a quick look through Kemp\'s \"U-Boats Destroyed\" lists a single sinking in the Thames Estuary. The UC-26 was lost in the on May 9, 1917; the boat was rammed by the destroyer HMS Milne. </HTML>
