Hi Rainer & Others!
U794 & U795- Type WK 202 were built by Germania Werft, Kiel
U794\'s keel was laid down on 1/2/43 & launched 7/10/43
Commissioned 14/11/43 Feldpost Nr M52 496
Scuttled on 5/5/45 in Geltinger Bucht. (later raised & broken up)
In late March 1944 Donitz went to the test establishment at Hela
and he and 4 other admirals took part in a trial in U 794. They were
all most enthusiastic about these boats.
U795\'s keel was laid down on 8/2/43 & launched 21/3/44
Commissioned 22/4/44 Feldpost Nr M53 834
Scuttleed on 3/5/45 at Kiel.
These U-boats were only used experimentally. U795 was possibly
salved later and used by the Royal Navy in 1947/8
