Kriegsmarine ID badges?

<HTML>Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what kind of identification sailors of the Kriegsmarine carried? How could you prove your rank and post to someone when out of uniform and in civilian clothes? I know all soldiers of the Wehrmacht were issued pay books and I suppose that could have been used to prove ID. But were there any other badges or ID cards issued???

Also, does anybody know if the Nazi party issued membership cards during the war??
