<HTML>Yes , this identity disc was what we call a \"dog tag \". It was oval , approx 68mm x52mm and die struck in aluminium with a gold wash for a finish. This dog tag had 3 perforations along it\'s length with 2 holes in the upper half for the neck string and only 1 hole in the bottom half . The perforation was where the tag would be broken off in case of death , the upper half stays with the body . Both the upper and lower portions had the same identification numbers etc written on it. Navy ID tags had KRIEGSMARINE written on it. </HTML>
