<HTML>Hi Marc

\"The German navy at war 1935-1945\" volume 2 by Siegfred Breyer and Gerhard Koop, page 77

There is a photo with this caption:
\"Dramatic moments:U185 (type IXC/40) in the Bay of Biscay on June 14th 1943, turning survivors of U564, sunk on the same day, over to destroyer Z24.
Two months later ,on August 24th 1943, U185 fell victim to aerial bombs in the
mid-Atlantic.Twenty nine members of the crew lost their lives, as did 14 men from U604 (type VIIC), which had been destroyed on August 11th 1943, and whose survivors had been picked up by U185.\"

In the photo below, U604 is attacked by the aircraft of VB129 off Bahia(Brazil) on August 3rd 1943.This attack failed to sink the U-Boat, but the damage was such that she was scuttled eight days later.

If I find more pics about the sinking of U185 I´ll keep you informed.

Best regards
