<HTML>When in one month the top 3 commanders were lost, Kretchmer, Prien and a 3rd, I can\'t remember who, the U boat high command panicked and re-assigned the remaining top commanders to shore duty of one kind or another. Many were given command of flotillas where they could hopefully coach the lesser experienced commanders.</HTML>
