<HTML>Wolfgang Lüth and U 181 were at sea for 206 days 23 Mar 1943 to 14 Oct 1943. But the record belongs to U 196 and Eitel-Friedrich Kentrat who returned from a 225 day patrol from 13 Mar 1943 to 23 Oct 1943.

Note: both boats were operating in the Indian Ocean. Both were assigned to the 12th Flotilla in Bordeaux as was U 177, that was mentioned in Mr. Dunn\'s post.</HTML>
