Hi Bruce,

Question interesting.
I think that from German you will not find a lot of information. But I can be mistaken.
In these books I met mentions about PQ 17 :
"Der seekrieg" Friedrich Ruge
"The German Navy in World War II." Von der Porten, Edward P.

My friends have written the monography about "Bismark" and "Tirpitz".

I can take an interest at them about German resources which they used for the book. It seemed there documents of German staffs.
