<HTML>This is nothing more than a decorative teapot mass produced in japan . It is just a generic looking sub and any \"U \" number would have been alright . I think a \"U \"number was used just to make it more identifiable as a submarine , this pot was not made to commemorate any particular submarine . On the bottom of this pot should have a concave imprint of a circle with a \"C \" and a diamond with an : L \" in it and a green oval sticker with the words \"MADE IN JAPAN \". This pot is not rare and of modern production and not WWI or WWII vintage.</HTML>
