The Oak Crest was sunk on November 23rd 1940, not 1939, at the position of
53 \" nord and 17 \" west out of convoy OB 244 by U 123, commanding officer Kplt. Moehle.
U-123 was taken out of service in Lorient, France 17 June 1944. Scuttled there 19 August 1944. Surrendered to France in 1945 and became the French submarine \"Blaison\". Stricken 18 August 1959 as \"Q 165\"
