I received and reviewed the pictures. You can not imagine how pleased I am; the quality of the pictures is very exceptable. The picture that I have of Ludwig Forster was obtained from the U-boat Net Gallery; I assume that you have it already. But after briefly studying and comparing the pictures I am 99.99% sure that we have a match; the person in that picture looks very much like the portrait of Oberleutnant Forster; you have a good eye.

Regarding my interest in subject boat, my father served as Ober Maschinist on the U-654 during that final cruise; he was killed prior to my being born.

Thank you so much for the pictures; this is the first time that I have seen the boat; what a thrill.
