Have you been in touch with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs concerning this subject? For some veterans PTSD is considered to be a \"Presumptive Service-Connected Disability\". I suspect there are thousands of such cases on record and the VA must have considerable generalized information available. Possibly, they could break this down to specific groups such as ex-submariners.
