Yes, military bands have been around a long time for all countries. I\'m always touched by the nice music played by the bands that welcomed back the U-boats whenever I see certain documentary films.
And I will never forget the German bands playing in the bier tents at the Oktoberfest and such. I like that kind of music!!!
(Even the pc game \"Aces of the Deep\" features a band and welcoming crowd for a returning U-boat, at least in campaign mode...a nice historical touch...!!!)
