<HTML>I\'m just curious to know if anyone has facts or figures relating to the numbers of U-boat officers and crews who survived the war and went on to serve in the Bundesmarine.

I became interested when I heard that Otto Kretschmer apparently retired from the Bundesmarine as a Flotillenadmiral. Any further such information on Kretschmer or the name U-boat officers and commanders who served in the post-war Bundesmarine would be appreciated.
