I really dont know what to say on this matter. I have never heard of this incident and my first thoughts were to dismiss it completely but, having read the newspaper report posted by Tore I wonder if perhaps there is some truth in the matter.
Personally I find it extremely hard to believe that U-boat men, of all Germany\'s armed forces would be capable of such deeds, even more so considering the \"lateness of the hour\" as it were. This does need to be looked at more closely as if it is true it is one extremely bad mark against the U-boat force.
I still cannot believe they would have been capable of such an atrocity.
