<HTML>Hi ALL

U-176 was sighted on the 15th April 1943 by a USN Kingfisher
seaplane of VC-62, operating from Cayo Frances. The aircraft made
a depth-charge attack as the U-boat submerged and dropped smoke
floats. These were seen by Cuban subchaser CS 13, which U-176
was destroyed by two depth-charge attacks from CS 13.
There were no survivors, all of U-176\'s crew were dead.
