Hi Paul,
There was no 1926 U-boat school class. Germany was still forbidden to have U-boats at that time. I expect you are asking about Crew 26 – all officer candidates who joined the German Navy in 1926.
The member’s area here will let you find a list of the U-boat commanders that were Crew 26 regardless of when they went to U-boat school or when they took the commander’s course. You can probably write the German Naval Academy for a list of all of the men (officers) in Crew 26 (enlisted men did not have a Crew designation). That list will include those who were never part of the U-bootwaffe as well as those who were.

If you are looking for enlisted men who joined the German navy in 1926 I’m not sure where to look for that. Perhaps WASt has a list:
Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt)
Eichborndamm 179, D-13403 Berlin

Fax. +49 (030) 41904-100

Nobody joined the U-bootwaffe directly. All joined the German navy first and then were transferred to the U-bootwaffe sometime after their initial training – sometimes many years after. Also note that there were various U-boat schools depending on whether you were an officer or an enlisted man. There was a U-boat school for enlisted men serving on U-boats, one for officers serving on a U-boat, and there was a commander’s course. There were many specialized courses/schools in addition to the basic schools too.
Regards,
Ken Dunn
