I am gathering information for a modeling team and am looking for some information regarding deck guns and anti-aircraft guns on U-Boat's (U-505). I know the larger deck guns were secured to the deck and corked and remained there even while underwater. What was the process with the anti-aircraft guns (machine guns). Were they brought up to the deck and mounted after surfacing? If so, how did this process work? Was there a team dedicated to this, how many, how long did it usually take, where were the guns stored when not in use? Any information and help regarding this topic is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
