Hello Ron,

The data is from the books:

"Vom original zum Modell: Uboottyp IXC" Bernard and Graefe Verlag.

"U-bootwaffe 1939-1945 Cz3" AJ-Press

"U-boats under the swastika" Jak.P.Mallmann Showell Ian Allan

The U-872 wasn't in any list but i saw a picture of it showing is deck reduced.
