<HTML>Hi Tim,

According to Georg Högel, U-156 had two personal emblems. Unfortunately no explanations of the motives is given by my reference. The first seems to be a city badge: two towers are framing a door surmounted by a lion in a shield, topped by a helmet. The second is the silhouette of an U-boat crossing the letter N (?) in runic caracter.

Source: Högel, G. (1996), Embleme, Wappen, Malings deutscher U-Boote 1939 - 1945, Hamburg, Koehler, p. 64. ISBN 3-7822-0650-9.

Though having been given advice of how to put images in the forum, I\'am still unable to do the technical trick. So I send you as an attachment the scanned 2 emblems.

Best regards

Marc</HTML>
