It must have been terrible, for instance take a tanker, fully loaded with oil,
or even worse highly infammable aviation fuel.
A torpedo slams into the side of the ship, an explosion, a fire starts,
the oil starts to leak and spread out over the sea, the oil catches fire,
the ship start to sink, the survivors of the initial blast will have to jump
over the side of the ship into the leaking and burning oil.

Since you are just a kid (if i\'m not mistaken), I will not go any further.
So i\'m afraid not exactly like the movie Titanic.
