re fate of u- 666 see sam corrigans posting 09/11/2007. The boat had two commanders in its career, Herbert Engel and Ernst Agust Wilberg. first patrol went from Kiel 25.02.43 returning to St. Nazaire 10.4.43. U-666 then went on 4 more patrols out of this Biscay base before meeting her fate.
