U445, 14th August 1944

I've found reference on this webpage to U-445 shooting down a 172 squadron Wellington on 14th August 1944.

This corresponds to the loss of my grandfathers Wellington K of 172 squadron on the same date, and I would like to verify this action from the U-boats records if at all possible.

Does anyone know where this information may have come from, and how I would access it?
