Hi.

It was interesting to read Rhys's account. My uncle John(JACK)Cummings was
2nd Engineer on SS Beaverdale.He was approx.31.

He died according to my father after the ship was torpeoded. By german
gunfire raking the sinking vessle and the life raft.Whether this is true
at this present moment I do not know.

Could anyone shed light on this?
