Though I note that these instances do not indicate that the torpedo itself penetrated into and remained stuck into the target vessel - the implication of your original posting.
Yes, torpedoes struck many targets without detonating, and many times just the force of impact from a high speed (30 - 45 kt) 2000lb or more torpedo would damga a ship or break its hull. But a dud torpedo left sticking into a ship?
