Hello all:
99 officers and enlisted men perished when she made her final dive to 10,000 feet of
water about 400 miles southwest of the Azores.
I'm not pushing any of the following books recently published:
"SCORPION DOWN: Sunk by the Soviets, Buried by the Pentagon: The Untold Story of the USS SCORPION" by Ed Offley.
"All Hands Down: The True Story of the Soviet Attack on the USS SCORPION" by
Kenneth Sewell and Jerome Preisler.
"Silent Steel: The Mysterious Death of the Nuclear Attack Sub USS SCORPION" by
Stephen Johnson
Very interesting reading, you make up your own mind about what did not happen.
Regards,
ROBERT M.
