Hello,

A long time ago I visited USS Sea Leopard in Mahon Harbour 39°53'27.57"N 4°15'52.58"E and asked the typical "How many torpedoes are there" question to which the reply was "I'm afraid I can't tell you that sir but if you count them you'll find there are 17". Years later I visited a submarine at Honolulu and there was a WW2 veteran guide who had served on that vessel. I learnt it was a sister ship to the Sea Leopard and receipted the 17 torpedo story. The guide and I lifted the floor and I was shown where the 18th torpedo was stowed on only that particular vessel in its class.

All good memorable stuff ... Anyway, I've gone Submarine mad again thanks to seeing the film Das Boot only last week.

In June 2009 I intend visiting:

U-2540 - Bremerhaven 53°32'29.60"N 8°34'34.26"E
U-434 - Hamburg 53°32'22.12"N 10° 0'53.38"E
U-995 - Near Kiel 54°24'44.68"N 10°13'43.68"E
U-461 - Peenemunde 54° 8'6.26"N 13°46'0.96"E

If Invitational Visas to Russia were easy to get and taking a GPS was not considered a national security cum spying activity, I'd love to include:

B-413 Kaliningrad 54°42'23.00"N 20°30'7.74"E

B-396 - Moscow 55°51'8.83"N 37°27'21.73"E

Anyway, is there anything I've missed out or has anyone any suggestions for that part of the World?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I love this site. It's so well done.
