FuMO61 Hohentwiel Usage

I am trying to resolve some conflicting information I have about the installation and usage of FuMO61 'Hohentwiel.' Many Internet resources say FuMO61 was installed starting in March 1944. However, "The Encyclopedia of U-boats, From 1904 to Present" states it was first tested on U-742 in August of 1943 and that 64 sets were installed by the end of September 1943. Eberhard Rossler, however, writes that those 64 sets were installed by September of 1944. An interrogation report from June 1944 states that "at end of December 1943 a modification of the G.A.F. set FuG200, called "Seetakt Hohentwiel" was reported, there is now evidence of its operational use."

So, who all is right in these matters? Was FuMO61 really operational from August 1943?
