what boat is he from

Hi all. Many of you have been very helpful in the past and was hoping the same would be true for this question. I just bought off of ebay a photocopy of a award that was presented to a salior by Donitz, It was for being wounded in the line of fire. The saliors name is Vinzens Fabian and he was a maschinengefreiten. i'm just trying to find what boat he was on. Any help would be greatly appreciative. thanks Pete
