I don\'t quite have the answer to your question, but do you want to know the total number of boats in the Baltic...both in the training flotillas and frontline (combat ready) flotillas? Or just those boats considered to be frontline?
If you want the former number, the exact answer will take a lot of time to find because there were well over one hundred boats on active as well as training status.
The latter number will be smaller and might be on this page (?) By cross-referencing the lists of Flotilla boats with that of the U-boats\' Fate list.
Either way, your question, while being a very good one, would take sometime to compile an answer for, unless someone just happens to know off-hand.
