Linien Seeoffizier Eintritt in Kriegsmarine, Crew 1937 b

16/12/1943- 01/1945 Kommandant "U 1004" / 31. U-Flottille, Hamburg; 7. U-Flottille, St.Nazaire u. 11. U-Flottille, Bergen.
Commander. Completed one war patrol 56 days at sea. Made three transit sailings 7 days. Never sank or damaged a ship. Oblt. Hartmuth Schimmelpfennig was removed from the command and replaced by Oblt. Rudolf Hinz because had sexual contact to a crew member, the crew noticed this, Schimmelpfennig arrested and Tried by Martial Court. Punishment 1 year and 6 months in prison and reduced to the ranks and expelled from U-Boat service.
27-04-1945 Killed in land action as a ordinary marine infantryman in Holland.
