There is no conclusive proof that the wreck is that of U309.There
is speculation that it could very well be the final resting place of U1020.I will get
back to you ASAP with regards to a positive I.D of the wreck.In the news article there is conflicting information with regards to the state of the wreck and the actual attack on the boat.If you read the story of the actions surrounding the destruction of U309 and compare that with the story on the actual wreck site , why on earth would the periscope be lying on the seabed away from the boat.
There are other instances to consider,however we`ll leave them alone at the moment.Watch this space...............
