It's a "good read". It was written by the son of one of the crew that served during WWII. The book covers the construction of the boat at the Manitowoc shipyard in Wisconsin, its launching and commissoning, the passage from Manitowoc down the Mississippi river to New Orleans and on to Pearl Harbor, HI. All patrols are covered in detail. I bought my copy of the book at a "Scorpion" re-union about 15 years ago and met the author and some of the crew at that time.
