<HTML>Evening Andy,
HMCS CAMROSE was part of the escort for the combined convoys
OS64 & KMS38.U757 had sailed from St.Nazaire on 29/12/43 for a patrol in the Atlantic she was commanded by KL Friedrich Deetz. On the 8/1/44 U757 came upon the dual convoy with fifteen plus escorts WSW of Bantry Bay but she was picked up on asdic by HMCS CAMROSE & HMS BAYNTUN who attacked with depthcharges the result being the sinking of U757 evidenced by a large pool of oil and debris including a uniform cap. There were no survivors of U757 from a crew of 49.
