Sorry to bother you again but would it be possible to obtain the original KTB of U-214 to see if there is more information, mainly on the motives to let us go unharmed?
Another explanation amongst the passengers was that we had the "navicert" in order and another was that the captain asked Berlin and Berlin told him to let us go ...
From a friend living in Lisbon I have got the report of Nyassa's captain on that day( 24 September and it only says that they went to the submarine to show " the papers " and returned with the order of continuing the trip.
