7.9.39 attack on a U-boat

Hello,

According to Chris Shores 'Fledgling Eagles' during the afternoon of 7 September 1939 a Do 18 attacked a submerging German submarine. Does anyone know where the incident took place, which boat was involved and what, if any damage was sustained in the attack.
