Jean Noli and his book Admiral's Wolfpack..fact or fiction?

I read this book as a pre-teen and obviously it is well remembered in my then clean slate. Is it accurate, mostly fictionalied, etc?
I still have my copy and noted it was created from numerous interviews with participants including Admiral Doenitz.
Are the stories fictionalized but the episodes accurate?
