Trying To Trace a Relation Lost at Sea : WW2

Hi There All!
Not sure if you can assist me but I'm trying to trace the details of a family member who was lost at sea during WW2. I have very little information to go on except that my Grandmother had a brother named GEORGE LEACH who was in the South African Merchant Navy during the war. I have no idea what ship he was on or where and when his ship was sunk but he was 21 years old when he was presumed lost at sea. The family were never told what happened except that his ship was sunk ...presumably by a German U-Boat.

Any assistance in this regards would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Kevin Smith
