Dear David,

There is a reference to U-671 on page 852 in the "Sources" section at the back of Clay Blair's book "Hitler's U-Boat War - The Hunted 1942-1945".

He says the info is held at NARA in Washington,DC, in one of the ONI (Office of Naval Intellegence) files which covers:

"History, sinking and technical details of (36 - of which one was U-671) U-Boats destroyed by British forces based on information obtained from POW survivors".

Presumably such information is also likely to be held somewhere in the PRO records at Kew as well - probably in the ADM 199 series - tho' the information of Blair's page 840 does not substantiate this.

By the way, there is quite a detailed commentary about U-671's final demise on Blair's page 605.

Hope this helps, and good luck in your search.

Yours aye,

Derek.
