There was a second Uboat (and a torpedo boat) scrapped in the harbour during 1947 -48, I have two people who remembers the scrapping of the sub, but there is no records either in this excellent forum or in my local archives of what number the Uboat was.
i am going to see a local farmer today to see a valve that his father had from one of the subs, he used it to use as a water feed valve for the small pelton wheel turbine on the farm, I will take photos of it.
