Good morning.
To be pedantic the position given is approximately 450 miles 082 degrees from Boston, or about 75 miles 236 degrees from Sable Island Light.
That position is close to the 100 metre depth, where it rapidly drops off to more than 400 metres.
Ocean navigation in those days was not an exact science. So, how accurate is the position?
